Seattle is a seaport city on the West Coast of the United States. It is the seat of King County, Washington. Seattle is the largest city in both the state of Washington and the Pacific Northwest region of North America. According to U.S. Census data released in 2019, the Seattle metropolitan area’s population stands at 3.98 million, and ranks as the 15th-largest in the United States. In July 2013, it was the fastest-growing major city in the United States and remained in the top 5 in May 2015 with an annual growth rate of 2.1%. In July 2016, Seattle was again the fastest-growing major U.S. city, with a 3.1% annual growth rate. Seattle is the northernmost large city in the United States.
The best time to visit Seattle is from Jun to October. Summer marks the city’s high season, meaning room rates rise and availability drops, while cold winter weather can deter even the most avid sightseers. Early fall, however, is a sweet spot for tourism: Summer weather lingers as the crowds disperse.
| March-May | Spring is a great time for bargain hunting, as many of the hotels have yet to raise their rates for the summer tourist season. However, be prepared for biting Pacific winds and yes, rain. Average springtime temps range from 55 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit, but chilly breezes can make it feel much colder. |
| June-August | This is the most popular time to visit. Temperatures rest at a comfortable 75 degrees, and the threat of rain is much less prevalent. |
| September-October | This is the best time to head to Seattle if you’re a bargain hunter: The weather is still mild and the summer crowds have departed, leaving behind plenty of unfilled, discounted hotel rooms. Plus, an abundance of autumn festivals makes for an exciting fall visit. Average temperatures range from 40 to 70 degrees, depending on the month, while precipitation increases as winter nears, so pack some warm clothes and an umbrella. |
| November-February | Hotel deals run rampant, but winter is not a great time for sightseeing in Seattle. Average temperatures hover in the 30s and 40s in December and January, and rainfall (and sometimes snowfall) is abundant. However, if you like winter sports like skiing and snowboarding, Seattle makes a great home base for trips to Mount Rainier or the Cascade Range |

Το Seattle, είναι πόλη των ΗΠΑ, η μεγαλύτερη της πολιτείας Ουάσινγκτον και το σημαντικότερο αστικό και οικονομικό κέντρο στα βορειοδυτικά της χώρας. Είναι κτισμένη στην ακτή του όρμου Έλιοτ μέσα στον Πάτζετ Σάουντ (μια στενή λωρίδα του Ειρηνικού ωκεανού που εισχωρεί στην πολιτεία της Ουάσινγκτον).
Στα ανατολικά του βρίσκεται η λίμνη Ουάσινγκτον που μέσω ενός τεχνητού καναλιού συνδέεται με τον Πάτζετ Σάουντ.
Η οικονομία της πόλης είναι στενά συνδεδεμένη με την αεροναυπηγική εταιρία Μπόινγκ που ιδρύθηκε εκεί. Μεγάλη ανάπτυξή έχει ο τομέας των νέων τεχνολογιών με εταιρίες όπως η Microsoft (τα κεντρικά της είναι στο προάστιο (Redmond) και η Amazon.
Στο Seattle θα βρείτε και τα Starbucks.έχει τη φήμη μιας πόλης με μεγάλη κατά κεφαλή κατανάλωση καφέ.
Το λιμάνι του Seattle είναι ένα από τα σημαντικότερα στον Ειρηνικό Ωκεανό. Έχει μεγάλη εμπορευματική αλλά και τουριστική κίνηση, καθώς εξυπηρετεί πάνω από 200 κρουαζιερόπλοια το χρόνο.
Το Seattle είναι πολύ καλό προορισμός όλο το χρόνο για ταξίδι.
